Soprano Celine Mogielnicki weaves the vocal music of Richard Strauss into an exploration of womens' emotional experience; a reckoning and reclaiming of the female narrative as captured by one of the most beloved- and feminist -composers in classical music. Strauss & #HerStory traces the arc and phases of womanhood through the lens of Pauline de Ahna, Richard's brilliant, talented, and notoriously independent wife. The program draws from Strauss' piano and orchestral songs, his tone poem Ein Heldenleben, and the Four Last Songs. Celine is joined by pianist Renana Gutman.
